Terms & Conditions

The ground rules for hosting and joining.

These terms explain how YouHostin’ should be used by hosts, guests, creators, and communities. By using YouHostin’, you agree to use the platform responsibly.

Last updated: May 2026

1. YouHostin’ is a platform

YouHostin’ provides tools for people to create, plan, promote, invite, pay for, and attend events. Unless we clearly say otherwise, YouHostin’ is not the host, organizer, venue, performer, caterer, or security provider for events created by users.

2. Host responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of event details, guest communication, event safety, venue rules, local laws, cancellation decisions, refund expectations, and the overall event experience they create.

3. Guest responsibilities

Guests are responsible for reading event details, attending safely, respecting host instructions, following venue rules, and behaving respectfully toward hosts, guests, venues, and communities.

4. Payments, fees, and payouts

Paid events may include entry fees, split costs, service fees, and payment processing. Payments may be handled by providers such as Stripe. Payouts may depend on account verification, payment processor rules, risk review, event status, or other operational requirements.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Hosts are generally responsible for setting expectations around cancellations and refunds unless otherwise required by law or payment processor rules. YouHostin’ may assist with platform-related issues, but we do not guarantee refunds for every event dispute.

6. Private events and invitations

Private events are intended for invited guests. Invite links, private event details, and access links should not be shared with people who were not invited unless the host allows it.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use YouHostin’ for illegal activity, fraud, harassment, unsafe events, hateful conduct, exploitation, misleading listings, unauthorized sales, or activity that violates payment processor rules or harms users, venues, or communities.

8. Content

Hosts and users are responsible for the content they post, including titles, descriptions, images, invitations, messages, and event details. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the platform.

9. Limitation of liability

Real-life events involve real-world decisions. YouHostin’ provides software tools, but users remain responsible for how they host, attend, travel, participate, and interact. Use good judgment and follow local rules.
